Located in the City and adjoining Central Foundation Schools of London on the eastern boundary, the site is close to the junction of City Road and Old Street, making it highly accessible from all directions. It is also in close proximity to Old Street station, providing convenient access to underground, overground and bus links.
Previously a cleared brownfield site being used as surface car parking, the scheme will regenerate the area to create a mixed tenure development including one, two and three-bed homes, including 31 general needs and 14 shared ownership units.
Central Foundation will form part of a larger project featuring two tower blocks of 14-16 storeys and two adjoining building of 6-8 storeys. Overall the scheme will include 184 residential units as well as commercial units, a health club and an all weather pitch. The development will feature a biomass boiler and will produce 10% of the building’s energy requirements from renewable sources.
