Kings Cross Central is one of the most significant development and regeneration projects in Europe, delivering 1,946 homes in total - 834 of which will be affordable. The first phase of the development will provide 201 affordable rented homes, 40 extra care units, 15 supported housing units and 28 shared ownership units.

The new homes will be located next to Regents Canal and adjacent to new parks and public spaces, which are being designed to complement the building's design. The development will boast excellent transport links, with Kings Cross and St Pancras stations situated right on the doorstep and 12 bus routes serving the area. An 800 space bicycle interchange will also be created as part of the scheme.

Kings Cross Central will also feature up to 500,000 sq ft of retail space, which will be available to locally run and independent shops, boutique units and convenience stores. There are also plans to offer a range of leisure amenities as part of the regneration of the area, including new theatres, independent cinemas, exhibition spaces and community facilities.

A number of energy saving initiatives and renewable technologies, including roof-mounted wind turbines, photovoltaics, ground source heat pumps and solar thermal systems will be used to ensure that the development is as energy efficient as possible.
