About Us

Employment and training service

Over the past year we have helped 109 residents to gain accredited qualifications and 47 to find work.

We know that unemployment is well above the national average on many of our estates and that many of our residents start from a position of disadvantage – as single parents, ethnic minorities or the 18-24 NEET group (not in education, employment or training).

That’s why our employment and training service works with them to overcome any barriers they are facing and providethe guidance and support they need to access training, apprenticeships and work opportunities.

In the past year 370 residents have accessed our services. 109 of them gained accredited qualifications and 47 have found jobs.

We help residents into employment in a range of industries such as education, recruitment, finance, transport, retail and tourism.

A wide range of courses are provided covering subjects such as literacy and numeracy, construction work, retail, catering, receptionist training, teaching assistant NVQs, football coaching, financial inclusion, security and jewellery design.

We couldn’t do all this without the help of our partners. We currently work with over 50 partners including Tribal Group, the National Housing Federation and Groundwork UK. Click here for a full list of our partners.
