Proposed changes to Island Homes Housing Association
We are proposing to fully integrate Island Homes fully into One Housing Group. You can read more about the proposals here.
How are we doing?
We aim to provide a good service in all areas of our work and as part of this we publish our performance data regularly so that you can see how we are doing.

Help us to help you
We are committed to adapting and improving our services to best fit the needs of our diverse local community. But to do this we need to know more about your - our residents - and your needs and requirements. If you are a resident and you have not yet completed and returned your profile form to us please do so as soon as possible. We will treat your information in the strictest of confidence. Please click here to view the form.
Are you interested in bike storage?
Cycling is a cheap, healthy way to travel and we would like to encourage more residents to consider cycling as an alternative to the car, bus or tube. We realise that storing your bike can be a problem if you live in a block of flats so we are considering installing cycle lockers on your estates, depending on the level of interest.
As part of the scheme, residents would be able to rent a secure outdoor locker for their bicycle, helping to keep it safe from vandals and thieves. To register your interest or to find out more please contact Errsala Ahmed, Senior Housing Administrator on 020 8821 5379 or by email.

Our performance
-
We aim to provide a good service in all areas of our work. As part of this goal we publish our performance data regularly so that you can see how we are doing.
Local offers
Local Offers have been introduced as part of the Tenant Services Authority’s regulatory framework.
Local offers are a new way of tailoring the services of social housing providers based on the issues that matter most to tenants on a local level. Local offer documents will be continually updated with progress made.
We have gone the extra mile to get comments, ideas and feedback from tenants; we circulated the consultation paperwork to all tenants, we attended local resident panel forums and resident organisations and we even knocked doors to ask tenants their opinions.
We arranged a drop in session for tenants who said they would like to be involved more in helping to developing local offers. The purpose was to discuss why residents had identified particular service areas as needing improvement.
From all this input, we have put together a local offer for each estate, which becomes effective from 1 April 2011.

Major works
-
The Island Homes major works programme is now complete.
We would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation during the works and hope that you are seeing and feeling the benefits of our investment.
Environmental Works
Island Homes are about to start the final stage of a five year £40 million refurbishment programme.
We will be spending a total of £1.8 million on environmental works. These works include repairing roads and pavements, improving playgrounds and enhancing both soft and hard landscaping.
Works will start by the middle of October 2011 but you may see some clearing of areas prior to this.
We aim to keep disruption to a minimum during this time. Works will be a lot less intrusive than the block work as we will not need to gain access to your homes.
We would like to thank you in advance for your patience during the works and hope you like the improvements.
