Neha Sawjani
Head of performance, improvement and policy
Neha took on this role in February 2008 and has since been responsible for implementing the group’s service improvement framework. As part of this she works with peers and regulators to ensure compliance and drive improvements to the group’s many service areas.
Neha holds a BA in Politics and a MA in Politics and Policy. Prior to working with One Housing Group, Neha has worked in a range of policy, performance, project management and business planning roles within central and local government associations. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, socialising with friends, shopping, swimming and travelling around the world as much as she can.
Lisa Mayo
Policy co-ordinator
Lisa started out as a graduate trainee housing officer in October 2003. In 2005 she was seconded into the new and temporary role of service improvement officer to conduct a review of the maintenance service, and to establish a system to manage external auditors Quality Housing services. The post was very successful and a permanent service improvement team was established in 2006 with Lisa as the only member. Now in 2009 the service improvement team has grown and is responsible for many improvement initiatives as well as the group’s policies and procedures. Lisa is now responsible for harmonising and reviewing the policies and procedures held by the three associations within the group and leading on annual impact assessments.
Chris Young
Performance, improvement and policy officer
Chris joined the service improvement and policy team in 2009 after spending two years in the property services and housing management departments. Chris is involved on a number of projects, including the coordination of service improvement plans and the delivery of a group-wide resident profiling project. Chris also sits on the data protection working group and assists with TSA action planning.
Chris holds a BA in History (St. Edward’s University) and a MSc in Public Policy (Bristol). Prior to joining One Housing Group, Chris has held positions working in environmental advocacy in the US and international development and capacity building, and politics as a consultant in Germany.
In his free time, Chris enjoys reading, cooking, film, seeing live music, outdoor activities and travelling.
Mina Bance
Performance improvement and policy officer
Mina joined the performance improvement and policy team in April 2010 after two years of working in complaints management and resident satisfaction in the asset management services of Octavia Housing. At present Mina is involved in a variety of projects including the resident impact project, facilitating QHS audits with the team and assisting in the harmonising of a number of key service procedures. She also sits on the complaints steering group and leads on the mystery shopping projects.
Academically, Mina holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Politics from Royal Holloway University of London and an MA in Gender and International Development in UCL. Being a glutton for punishment she is currently pursuing further postgraduate research studies in applied linguistics and intercultural communication at Birkbeck College.
In addition to being an eternal student, Mina enjoys reading, cooking, shopping for bargains, going to the theatre and shamelessly watching back-to-back US drama serials.
Serene Dennis
Performance, improvement and policy administrator
Serene joined the performance, improvement and policy team in April 2010 and is currently responsible for a variety of key admin duties.
Prior to joining the team, Serene worked as a project assistant within the community investment department where she was heavily involved with the short notice inspection action plan and the preparation and delivery of a number of events, promoting community engagement and social inclusion. Serene holds a BA in International Business and enjoys reading, singing, shopping and travelling.
