We are working across London and the South East to address the housing need.
Despite the economic downturn, we’ve kept on building and we intend to build or acquire 4,500 new homes over the next three years.
Since we launched our corporate plan in May 2011, we have already acquired sites to build 1,810 new homes including two of London’s biggest regeneration projects, King’s Cross and Canning Town. In the last financial year we have completed 1,017 new homes.
A new model for social housing
Most of our new schemes are now ‘mixed tenure’ developments. These include homes for private sale which subsidise our affordable housing. We want to use our skills as a developer to help create more integrated, sustainable communities – that’s part of One Housing Group’s vision.
More affordable housing
We’d like to make our homes available to anybody in low paid jobs, not just keyworkers. In particular, those who haven't had access to affordable housing before. For example those who cannot afford market rents or a first-time buyers’ deposit in London.
